A few weeks ago, our venue manager, Brooke, married Scott Pearce – her boyfriend of seven years! The two met in their senior year of high school and have been together ever since.
Scott proposed to Brooke at Sunday Park while she was under the impression that they were only out for a nice date night. On the drive there, Scott had prepared a playlist full of songs they had listened to together over the years, and had her listen to it during the duration of the drive. Brooke knew something was kind of different about him, but she wasn’t expecting the proposal that would happen later that night! Of course, she said yes, and we had another wedding to plan!
Brooke’s florist, Jen Thompson, created all bouquets with a mix of fake and real flowers. The floral arrangements were made of pampas grass, baby’s breath, wheat, and faux leaves. Wheat filled vases and resting stumps cut by Brooke’s dad lined the aisle. Brooke’s arbor was one like we’ve never seen before, and was made just for the couple by Jen’s husband, Paul Thompson. It was a large, dark brown, circular arbor that Jen decorated beautifully with more floral arrangements. And of course, the wedding was held underneath the oak tree out here at Bandit’s Ridge. It was truly such a beautiful day that no one could forget. Even the beautiful couple’s two pups, Scarlet and Avery, were part of their special day!
